Gold delivered in August on Tuesday fell by Rs 362, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 51,739 per 10 grams at the Multi Commodity Exchange, with a turnover of 3,699 lots. On the other hand, silver for September delivery at the Multi Commodity Exchange fell by Rs 2,289, or 3.49 per cent, to Rs 63,239 per kg, with a turnover of 12,188 lots.
Price rise in gold
Gold delivered in August rose by Rs 217, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 52,808 per 10 grams at the Multi Commodity Exchange, trading for 2,603 lots. Gold was trading 0.46% higher at $ 1,972.10 an ounce in New York.
Silver for the September delivery rose by Rs 567, or 0.87 per cent, to Rs 65,571 per kg at the Multi Commodity Exchange with a turnover of 12,682 lots.
Furthermore, On Wednesday, speculators strengthened their hold on higher demand for gold in the futures market, due to which gold prices rose by Rs 217 to Rs 52,808 per 10 grams. On the other hand, silver also rose by Rs 567 to Rs 65,571 per kg due to strong demand in futures trade
